BAC 111 APU
First of all many thanks to the developers. One of the best freeware addons out there. I have been struggling with the APU. I run the 111 in FSX and I can't seem to get the APU to start. I think I am following the checklist correctly but it doesn't seem to be working. I get the fuel valve "open" the battery is on and I press the start button. "Start" appears in the little window and then nothing else happens. It dosen't go out and then to run as the checklist suggests. Am I doing something wrong? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Re: BAC 111 APU
Hi bbruchie and welcome to the forum
One of the problems (or possible problems) with DM's models is that they were designed to be used with FS9/9.1 and while they all seem to run well in FSX, there may be some loss of functionality. Although I have FSX, I rarely use it so hopefully one of the guy's who've 'moved over' will be able to give you a more complete answer to your problem ;-)

Re: BAC 111 APU
Thanks DaveB I thought that FSX compatibility might be the issue, but I wasn't going to assume that until I ruled out user error. Thanks again.
Re: BAC 111 APU
Just had a quick check and it appears to be the starter code, in the same way the older version of the VC10 didn't start as expected manually in FSX
Ben.

Re: BAC 111 APU
I noticed the not too well working APU as well. But don't worry too much about that as the engines start and the plane flies very nicely thanks in FSX.
Don't forget though, if you're using the VC... You MUST cycle to the 2D panel and back before doing anything else to set the VC correctly.

Re: BAC 111 APU
Thank you for all your responses. I did discover this last night while I was doing experimenting. While "run" never appeared in the window the electrical pannel was reistering voltage from the APU. Therefore at least according to that part of the panel the APU was working. The Air system did not work when switched to the APU only when when the engines where running could I get the air system lights to go out. I was able to manually start the engines but I had to flip the switch a couple of times before it lit. I will try cycling to the 2d to see if something needs refreshing however this has not posed a problem yet. Everything else seems to work fine. I am from the other side of the pond and this addon adds some nice variety to my FS hanger. Thanks again.
