So do I Eric... a bit nervous about it to be honest, but we'll see. I'll keep the Ti on SORN for now... just incase.
Ben.

Re: Help - Need to find a car.... No Longer,Going for the Tomcat
FDH hey
I was always under the impression that a 'DH' suffix was Walsall as this is my neck of the woods and my dad bought a number of cars with DH registrations. It's also fact (or was) that the Mayor's car was registered DH 1. I suppose Dudley (or Dudlay in local parlance) isn't far from Walsall in the grand scale of things and is/was probably the nearest registration centre
I'm certain the first letter used to be random so I can't quite understand the FD side of the issue. My first brand new 4-stroke was a Suzuki GS550D (wire wheels) and was bought from the Suzuki Centre in Cannock (it's now moved). It was registered BFD 269T and I'm pretty sure the FD was Stafford. It certainly wasn't Longbridge
Whatever.. hope you're happy with it Ben ;-)

Re: Help - Need to find a car.... No Longer,Going for the Tomcat
Thanks Dave. Yes FDH is Dudley, and thats the office that Rover used when registering vehicles... along with a few thousand brummies I should hasten to add. One of the chaps who worked at Longbridge kept a vist of all the VIN's for these cars, so I've had him cross check it. So effectively the cars where built... stored for 2 years and then first registered on the 3rd August 1998.. as is this one.
Ben.

Sorry, Japanese cars have flare holders? Gotta get me one of those....
Re: Help - Need to find a car.... No Longer,Going for the Tomcat
Don't know if they still do, but they did back then... infact the current owner of the one I've put the deposit on managed to find one of the old ones on ebay and screw it back in!
(the holes where still there from where it had been removed at longbridge)
Ben.
