The only one I can think of that fits that time frame, FF Nov 15 1959 is the Canadair CL-44 :think:

Don't know the answer to that one but I do know that it is the 64th anniversary of VE day today.Before you ask,no I don't remember it,I was only a babe in arms at the time. :dancer: EricT

Here you were all struggling to think of a classic aircraft when in fact it was the mini, now Derek knows why I had that smug look on my face!! :lol:

The Mini was the car I learn't to drive in and pass my driving test in with the starter situated on the floor.
