Sat down this morning after doing some gardening with my loved one and decided to try to capture some pictures of a pair of Blue Tits feeding their young. Had put some nesting boxes on the back of my bungalow, it's a real treat to sit outside and watch them coming and going, must be pretty tired at the end of the day searching for all that food so went into town and and bought them some meal worms from the local pet shop.
Have a FujiFilm 4800 and the zoom is pretty poor and was well back for the first shot so had to re-position myself within 10ft of the box and remain very still and quiet, after some ten minutes managed to get the (well I think so) perfect pics, hope you like them.
Regards
Nigel.
I used to be an optimist but with age I am now a grumpy old pessimist.
We've got quite a few nesting birds in the garden this year. No Tit's as far as I'm aware but we've got a Wren, Blackbird, Robin and Woodpigeon all making themselves comfy
Last year we had a pair of Linnets nesting!
*Edit* My personal favourite bird of the month is the little old Dunnock. He doesn't half get some grief off Robin
