Re: HU for RN Escort Carriers website
Thanks for that, I've seen it before. It contains one of my Dad's ships HMS Searcher.
http://www.royalnavyresearcharchive.org ... ARCHER.htm
She stayed around in one form or another until 1976 (that's 40 ish years!)
http://www.navsource.org/archives/03/0302207.jpg (re-built as Oriental banker)
One of her aircraft survives in Northern Ireland, http://www.bbc.co.uk/northernireland/yo ... 6984.shtml

She was being restored, but I'm not sure what's happened now the society moved.
Kind regards
John
Ps there is a repaint available of one of her aircraft

See, that's my lottery plan. Win £17 Million, buy a merchant ship and turn it into a carrier....
