Great bit of filming there.. NOT  A nice close in of the aircraft landing followed by a few seconds taken on the worlds largest wide angle lens then a zoom in to see the tyre is already on fire  Ah well.. it sort of captured the moment ;-)

The bit I liked from that report was:
as firefighters tried to extinguish the flames.

Well...did they or didn't they?

Yeah, after soaking (and possibly destroying) a perfectly good engine...

I have a lot of respect for the ARFF guys, but sometimes they do stuff I can't understand like trying to put water THROUGH the engine to reach the landing gear and then instead of repositioning to get a better angle or having someone get out, just figuring that putting MORE WATER downrange will do the job... They did the same thing to a FedEX plane that had an RTO at Denver in 2003. Then the City & County of Denver balked when FedEx sent them the bill for the new engine after they destroyed a good one by putting so much water and foam on it while it was still hot that it cracked the primary bearing races in the engine (and there was no fire anywhere near the engine, just the firefighters being badly positioned).
