Wet weekend....go to Weston Super Mare

Post by delticbob »

I promise this WILL [possably] be the last time I mention this.

This weekend is the FS2009 convention at the Weston Super Mare Helicopter Museum, see here http://www.flightsim2009.com/ so if you are within striking distance of there, give it ago. The organiser, Simon Tolley of S.T. Aviation, has put in dozens of hours of unpaid work to get this off the ground, & the list of participants is very impressive.

The local radio station will be braodcast live from the venue tomorrow morning & a streaming video is also advertised, so, as its under cover, & you don't get events like this every month in th south west, do try to get there.

I shall have a virtual presence as I am 200 + miles away, but it IS an event not to be missed.

OK done, I will now not mention it again.....till next week

Unfortunately I will have to give it a miss, even though I'm just a few miles down the road, due to my shift pattern and serious lack of dosh

Bl**dy typical...........

I've just been asked by a friend of mine if I want to go to the Fleet Air Arm Museum at Yeovilton tomorrow. Well, as I have a gift aid voucher for two from last year's Autumn Model Show, I thinks "why not". So, after an early look around the Museum and my yearly pat of the Harvard (sad I know), think may make a slight detour on the way home to W-S-M.

I'll be there early tomorrow and for most of the day. Not Sunday.

If anybody's going by train (sat), I'll be working the 1353 from Bristol Temple Meads to Weston, the 1423 from Weston to Taunton, the 1507 from Taunton to Weston and the 1540 from Weston to Bristol!

And naturally I'll have a speedbird lapel badge on my uniform.

So near yet so far ...

Ian :)

You'd think so, Jim; the amount of noise and smoke they produce! But they only get airborne on bumpy lines ;-)
