Jeremy Clarkson's claim that his Lightning was a leaf-blower didn't wash with the council. What can this guy come up with.

I much preferred the other guy's garden Hunter, later in that thread:-

Sadly the Google URL doesn't work when transferred here but near the end of page two of that thread there is a Google URL for the Hunter picture.

As Steelsporren mentioned, he would have to obtain planning permission surely and if it is anything like West Lindsey District Council then I wouldn't hold my breath for Wickenby Airfield had applied to build a new aircraft hanger to restore a a De Havilland 2, a Navy N3N training plane and a 1938 Tiger Moth. That application was rejected so they have gone back to the table and returned with a revised idea to build a private workshop.

This to me is stupid of the council as many will know that Wickenby is miles away from any built up areas and to have this sort of facility can only be a good thing for aviation enthusiasts and also probably encourage others to use this facility.

Rant finished and back to this thread.

I have two lions on a plinth to the entrance of our drive-way, keep dropping hints that to have an a/c on them would be a much better idea.....but I know what her response would be.Image
