Viscounts in FSX & panels issue.

Post by Vancouver »

SIrs

I have searched as best I can for a resolution to my problem with no luck, so I wonder if one of you can assist me. I have finally got a PC that can run FSX satisfactorily and I have now moved over to it 100%. I have installed Ricks great Viscounts from CBF downloads together with their updates there and they fly beautifully. The problem I have is with Frasers Panels from the same site. The sim refuses to show the cockpit files apart from the Main view forward. I have dragged both installs (700 & 800) into FS9 and they show up fine. Is this a kown problem? Is there a fix?
I hope there is aix a the Viscounts are amongst my fav a/c to fly even to this day.
I look forward to yor responses.
TIA
Alex

Hi TIA

If you mean the window frame views to the sides etc ? that was a feature removed from FSX as they expect a VC & not static images.

Regards
Rick

Thanks Rick, I cannot believe how dumb I was there (and for the past 3 days swapping the Viscounts in and out, trying diff permutations etc) I knew that all along but brain was not engaged. I guess that it is because when I fly bigger aircraft with VC I prefer the 2D 'pit and of course in looking around in 2D, you are actually seeing the 3D rendering. And I don't suppose there is any work around, In my opinion that is a loss. Flying large aircraft when there is engine management and navigation to be done, for me the 2D option is easier, whereas light aircraft and fast jets then VC is the way to go.
Thanks anyway and btw my name is not TIA (that means thanks in advance, but of course you knew that really LOL)
TTFN (that's my name LOL)
