What has Ed let himself in for! ;-)

While you're at it.. if you can ask for a detachable pannier when the aircraft is on the ground (of course) linked to a keystroke.. that'd be rather jolly too ;-) Ooo.. and access door on the Mk8's. Alpha only modelled the nose door.. not the pax access door down the rear of the fuse :cpu: Oh.. and the correct wings for the Mk8/Halton would be a bonus too :cpu: :cpu: I'm sure there are other bits so I'll jot them down from time to time

Dave, Eddie did do a Halifax many years ago for an RAF Bomber Command sim which never saw the light of day. He dug it out and sent it to me, and it really is rather good. In its current form, I reckon it would make a very frame-rate friendly AI model. It would be nice to see it put to some use.

I know what you mean about the aircraft. I have a painting on my wall of a Halifax. Something about it.

I have this one of LV907 'Friday the 13th' the wall next to the computer, and its called " A Friday in Winter ". I always imagine she's out on her morning air test prior to a raid the following night. What I particulary love ( and its something of a trademark of Keith Woodcock's paintings ) is the pristine snow-covered English countryside below. Its that heavy blanket of snow we used to get years ago, and you can almost feel the chill in the air. I never tire of looking at it.

This is a rather fine shot and has been my desktop wallpaper for sometime..

Painted (I believe) by the same chap who did the Airfix boxes ;-) I simply love it :kissu: CmkVIII AIWP.. ex LAMS as seen operated by Skyflight during the Berlin Air Lift. Basically, all Skyflight did was paint out the LAMS logo on the nose although not all LAMS Mk8's had a logo ;-)

I think I've seen that one before but it had slipped my mind. Its a great painting for sure. Is there a link to that somewhere, Dave ?

But I'm a bit worried. The right-hand column of icons...the one at the bottom...is that not the Sign Of The Beast ????

Lovely painting Dave :tab:

I love that sort of art with drama and gradure of the sky complimenting the aeroplane  . Gives a real feeling of being up there. :)
