It would be nice but wholly unlikely to see a commercial project of the Lancaster let alone the Lincoln in FsX. I believe most of the Lancaster shots in the original "Dambusters" film were actually Lincolns and I can remember as a kid thinking that the wing span of the aircraft in the film seemed to be greater than I thought the Lancaster's should be.

This may shed a little light Roger...a good read...

http://www.computing.dundee.ac.uk/staff ... ambust.asp

And from the Films Wicki.....=

"However, part of the RAF's fleet of ageing Avro Lincolns had been mothballed at RAF Hemswell prior to being broken up and several of these static aircraft appeared in background shots during filming, doubling for additional No 617 Squadron Lancasters. The station headquarters building still stands on what is now an industrial estate and is named Gibson House. The four wartime hangars also still stand, little changed in external appearance since the war".

Interesting post. I flew the Hemswell Lincolns on 199 squadron in 1957. from my logbook the aircraft I actually flew were,

SX926
RF557
RF509
WD126
RF684
RF561
WD122
RF448
The squadron then changed to the Valiant B1 and we moved to Honington after 232 OCU at Gaydon and reformed briefly as 199,before changing yet again to 18 Squadron in 1958.
Must watch "THe Dam Busters" again sometime ,see If I recgnise any of the old black ladies!

Chris.

The Lancaster that Just Flight sell for FS2004 is being reworked for FSX.
