Tongass Fjords for FSX imminent

Post by speedbird591 »

I posted a technical question about AI floatplanes over on the Glacier Bay site. Holger Sandmann posted this p.s. at the end of his answer:
P.S.: if you're contemplating getting Tongass Fjords I'd wait a couple more weeks as its price will drop dramatically once we release the FSX version.
So that could be of interest to people on both sides of the fence! Prices dropping dramatically quickly attract my attention!

Ian :)

Ian,

I highly recommend Tongass Fjords for FS9 and considered it a bargain at its original price...It is a wonderful package :flying:

Ill be buying this as soon as it comes out :) This news, combined with the soon-to-be released RealAir Beechcraft B60 might have just re-kindled my interest in FS :)
That Duke looks bloody fantastic btw.

If I may say so. Holger and Bill have done a marvellous job with the FSX version. But alas, I may not say more. It is well worth the wait. Just check out the fsaddon forum, or as they say watch this space ;-)

Just visited the FSAddon forum. The news is that Tongass Fjords X is finished and the final installer test is being done. Originally I was interested in this release because it would trigger a price drop for the FS9 scenery.

But I've just looked at some screenshots in FSX. They are quite amazing. In fact they are so amazing that I could even consider buying FSX (again) just to install it!

That would indeed be a good investment, with all the great scenery coming out. Just check out the FSX scenery from FTX of Australia. Wait for TongassX and then FTX's PNW area.

That'll give you hours and hours of flying, ie. when the last two sceneries are available. For FTX PNW you still have to wait a while, though.
