What a lovely looking little fella. Definately a cool classic.
Thanks for the heads up.

I suffer from paranoid amnesia. I can't remember who I don't trust.

Allegiant Owned an Ex SAS "hard wing" it was sent to the desert about the time I started with the company...the crews loved it , because of its performance especially from places like Lake Tahoe -- The aircraft was sent to Victorville - and is now being used
as a skydiving aircraft (so I am told) still Allegiants old colour scheme.

Hi Leif
There is a single 21 use in skydiving.......the only FAA approved jet.
They removed the steps from the rear entrance and slide out that way.......didn't know it came from Allegiant
I don't know how much modding was done to the back end

Re: DC-9-20 from HJG
The pictures I've seen don't look like a lot of change. Just a mod to the door so it's easier to open inflight and replacing the rear stairs with a stub chute to ensure clearance out the back. That area shouldn't have any really nasty air currents, so it would not need much (if any) aerodynamic modifications to be effective.
It also looks like they've repainted the plane - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VG2sVLSippc

Cheers for the Video Chris
At least she didn't become beer cans and people are still enjoying her -- the paint may be gone but the interior is still the same
