Paint scheme for dh Heron ?

Post by alan ramsay »

Hi guys,

I have downloaded the Heron, as it's the only aircraft in the routes section which flies into my home airport of Dundee.

However, it only comes in Jersey Airlines livery.

I've searched the forum, but can't find any repaints. Does anyone know if it's ever been done ?

Cheers, Alan Ramsay.

Hi Alan..

You sure that's not an AI model  I don't think we have released the Heron 'officially' on the VA yet.. especially as Derek Palmer is still making it (the one we intend to use) ;-)

Hello Alan

I'm not sure which Heron you have

The CBFS supported model being made by Derek Palmer has not been released yet so we have not produced any repaint or VA packs for it.

For repaints of the model you have try Flight Sim.com and you might find something

Hi Alan,

There are now some HS748 flights out of Dundee and its a superb aircraft to fly. The Heron routes are not 'open' as yet and TR's won't be available until Derek's Heron is released. I was just getting ahead of myself.

Regards

Hi Alan,

Apologies for the late reply.

As already mentioned, the Heron you have downloaded is not the CBFS version as that is still in the workshop..what you have is probably Dee Waldron's AI version..or there was another model from Puerto Rico but we won't go into that :-#

As far as paints go there are a few examples of what's to come on the Heron topic in Developers' Corner and here's a few more examples, Heron 1 and 2, all work in progress...naughty of me, the beta team don't have these yet....

Hi guys,

First of all, many thanks for the information.

The proposed Heron looks great, will look forward to it.

I didn't see the flights to Dundee with the 748 - will try it next.

Cheers, Alan.

John Hinson did a few versions of the Heron back in 2006. I have the Heron 1 in BEA livery, the 2B in Morton Air livery and the 2D in Heron and Prinair liveries. I think John based his version on a modified Dee Waldron AI version. I think these files were all on Avsim which means they are not available at the moment.
