There is quite a long story behind what happened, but the short of it is Mark Markgraf decided that despite legitimate offers of support and money from the CAF, the aircraft would no longer be supported or backed by Air Atlantique. As such, the CAF ensured that the aircraft went to a museum that would properly take care of her and Pima will do that. Now that the B-36 restoration is complete, they will begin a tedious and extremely thorough restoration of the aircraft into the configuration it had and exactly as it looked when it left active service. She will certainly be beautiful when complete.
