There's a major wildfire on the Westbank side of Okanagan lake in BC....

Apart from the smoke, altitude etc, I am amazed they manage to control the A/C after it's weight suddenly drops by however many tonnes (and then depending on aircraft gets scooped to full again!) - always had an admiration for those pilots

True Garry... but the terrain there is rather 'up and down' so whatever, they've got more pluck than me!!!

When you think, during WWII the RAF did that at night dropping explosives whilst being fired on...that was amazing

In the pic...skilled, yes, but in my opinion not amazing

There is a groing trend on the wed that if a pilot does more than fly in a straight line then he is amazing/highly skilled....... :lol:

Just my opinion :lazy:

I well remember the C-130 :-(

I now it's hard and dangerous but that doesn't make it amazing :worried:
