That almost sounds like alpha
Like when you load an aircraft the metal is grey for a second then the alpha cuts in and the shine appears
Almost is if alpha cuts in and make it transparent....don't know how the bitmaps are saved or how FS.X works but that does seem to be transparency switching on......alpha caused or not.
At least you know the parts are there

He means the Sim Objects/Airplanes folder. :roll:Techy111 wrote:Ant....go into your Aircraft folder and double check you have a folder in there called "DMFS shared Files" and inside that check you have "BAC1-11 Panel VC and BAC1-11 Sound and APU"...folders...?

If you've got an Aircraft folder in FSX it's been created by an installer and everything in it should be moved to the Sim Objects/Airplane folder.
I know Tony, I call it the aircraft folder as well.
Jon
Re: Transparent VC in the Maltby models...
Yes I've got both folders. Looking in the folders I see a few sounds, such as V1 and rotate which I don't hear, yet I hear them in the Trident, but have a similar problem with the Trident VC.
I like this flight simming, it's fun.....

It's an Nvidia GeForce GTX260 with 896Mb of ram on board.
Btw, that Vickers Vanguard looks tasty, is one around for FSX?

Re: Transparent VC in the Maltby models...
Problems with the Vanguard (and I think the Viscount) is that they go semi transparent in FSX at dusk etc.
Ben.

Call me a cynical old ba$!ard if you must, but none of this discussion gives me any reason to spend money on replacing a perfectly good PC at the moment in order to run FSX. EricT

Re: Transparent VC in the Maltby models...
Hi Eric, the models work fine in FSX, its something specific to Ants PC. ;-)
