Since I recently became a 'member' (as opposed to a user) of YouTube, it amuses me that one has to 'agree' not to post content that is copyright.. unless you have the permission of the author or.. it is of your own making when I've spent years watching stuff that is obviously copyright and there's no way on God's earth that the authors would have given such permissions

Come the revolution.. I'll ban this internet lark

Well he trained to wear the necessary full space suit etc. and then was taken up to over 70,000 feet in a U2...And I felt very envious :)

56,000 feet in the Lightning Garry...I flew it from Middleton St.George. I think that is Teeside Airport now.

I also went up to 56,000 feet in the decompression chamber at the Institute of Aviation Medicine but on that it was an explosive decompression from about 20,000 feet up to 56,000 feet in an instant with all my protective stuff inflating and me toggling the mask for a very firm seal as the oxygen was fed in under pressure. I then had to "Pressure Breath" during the chamber's descent down to ground level. It required a week of training to learn to pressure breath (not like in a proper space suit which is fully pressurised) and before the explosive decompression I had to be on 100% oxygen for an hour to purge my bloodstream of any nitrogen...this was to avoid the possibility of "Bends". This whole exercise was to simulate the loss of the cockpit canopy at 56,000 feet.
