Not a brilliant photo but at least I got one!
Overhead Bingham, Nottinghamshire at 1132 going west.
Missed the better opportunity about 30 minutes earlier when they were going east.

That in itself is a thing of beauty and wonder Ian
Wonder if HC is in the picture?

It's a shame I live so far south :-( I'd love to see that sort of sight.
Thanks for sharing

And to hear the sound - both times it was the sound that made me rush out of the house but at least the camera was ready second time.

Nice shot. Still waiting with baited breath for one to make another guest appearance at Manchester.

It certainly will mate.
Wishful thinking but you just never know. One day a ten might just appear out of the clouds heading our way.
(are you reading this Tonks?!)

I wish they'd practice some low flying up the Mawddach or round the Mach loop, I'd love to see a Ten gently drifting past Cader Idris the way the Hercules sometimes do.
I don't suppose VC10s need low flying practice like the Hercules though.

I'm sure you'd enjoy frightening the sheep and giving the near-permanent photographers encampment at the Bwlch yr Oerddrws a white wee-wee moment as they saw you just skimming the traffic on the Dolgellau-Dinas Mawddwy road, in fact if you timed it right and phoned ahead, I'm sure the bloke in the ice-cream van on the Bwlch car-park could hold out a cornet for you as you went past!
Certainly whenever I've seen the Hercs passing over the Bwlch they seem to be aiming for Mr Softee...
