There's nothing as such on the web as regards tribute sites or any such.

Just bits and pieces of which this film is one of the better finds.

The Hercules engine was a good engine and the Bristol Freighter also flew more sprightly than it looked..

The Airline and AIrliners book on the Viking would be a good source and that was held up for a long time while colour images were sought as not a lot was recorded about the type as it plodded along day in day out.

I don't know of any

Sadly the Viking is almost being passed over by history despite the fact that it was a major part of rebuilding the UK's civil aviation routes post war.

It was perhaps the most sucessful airliner version of a bomber........Avro York does not count as it was a transport devloped in tandem with the bomber rather than a post war adaption of new fuse and bomber wing.

163 Vikings and 263 Valettas was a good run by any transport of the time :)

This is the place to ask so if anyone does have any info they will no doubt shout.

The book I mentioned was what enabled me to do the Viking paints such is the shortage of good info on the net.

I know of the save-a-viking group restoration, but that's about it.

now that my c: HD has crashed and I have to reinstall XP I should have plenty of time for reading....
good thing I got fs9 on a separate drive. Still going to be tricky tho. arrrrgh.
