I'm still trying out settings and viewpoints in Fraps and settings in WMM to get the optimum quality. I can crank the quality up high but that doesn't allow for reasonable streaming on an average broadband connection. And Fraps takes quite a bit of smoothness from the game so the movie is a bit too juddery. Anyway, this short movie (of the usual subject) shows the best compromise that I've managed to achieve so far.
Apologies if the subject's getting a bit boring You may notice that the landing was slightly one-sided. This was intentional to display DM's wondrous wing-flexing effect
I think it's probably because all of that sequence was shot from the outside mate and it all looked incredibly low.. which is where you need to be when you land I could imagine being a chase plane filming it and having to land with washing lines hanging off my wings
Brings back my 2nd ever landing when I looked out the window to see mama-san hanging her washing out the window of her Kowloon flat on a bamboo pole ABOVE my head........thank God for Drambuie and no real knowledge of what I was experiencing!!!
God I miss HK and Kai Tak......................
Thanks Ian...that is, as they say where I'm from, a 'wee stoater'

I know exactly how you feel, Colin. After 30 years flying I can safely say it's my favourite city in the world - I was lucky enough to get back this year for a few days and it's still as exciting as ever. I've been lucky enough to have been on a jump seat for landing into Kai Tak on several occasions on VC10s, 707s, 747 Classics and 400s. If I could only have one airport and one aircraft in FS I would be perfectly happy flying circuits there for ever.
Hang on a minute - that's pretty much all I do anyway
