Re: Just Flight sale
I bought the A340-500/600 package a long time back and my total cockpit time has been about 1 hour. It's a fantastic model, and I love the F-Lite series that they're doing.
HOWEVER... I always fly in VC and use TrackIR. Whenever I want to turn a knob I settle the mouse pointer over it and use the mouse wheel to spin the knob up and down through the ranges. It's become second nature to me and I use it all the time. BUT in the 330 & 340 (500-600 pack) the mouse wheel only works one way i.e. the heading bug will only move clockwise, the radio tuning will only go up and worse of all the AP controls will only go up which is a bugger when you want to descend under AP control or lose speed using the AT.
It may well be just me, but all my other CLS (F-Lite) aeroplanes (747-200, DC-10) all work fine with the mouse wheel.

Re: Just Flight sale
Hiya Gary
Tks for that
I had a moment of weakness last night and added to basket (cd version) so I'll see for myself in a day or so. I'm 99.99% 2D panel so it shouldn't be a problem
I have the CLS Multi pack 300/310/Beluga.. DC10 and 747-200 and they're not bad models. Wish I'd have paid sale price for em mind you
No matter what I do, I can't seem to get a decent landing in the 300 doing VA flights and when I do, it's more fluke than anything
Also.. I find the auto IAS to Mach at FL240 a royal pain in the arse too. Wouldn't be so bad if you could switch it back but you can't. I've been caught a couple of times having left it in the climb.. gone and had a jimmy and come back to see I'm tarting around at M.67 barely hanging in the air
Switch immediately to cruise mach at FL240 and you're going far too fast so it has to be nursed up to alt. Other than that.. it's nice to look at!
