Curious.... I was chatting to a Brummy guy as I waited to exit leuchars, and he was telling me the USAF were also pressing for RIAT to be every other year rotating with Farnborough, and that (apparently) there will be drastically reduced flying appearances from US aircraft in european shows (can't remember if farnborough or RIAT were the exceptions)

Not sure how that would make sense. Seeing as it's still essentially a civilian run show, despite the military support it gets, I can't see how the USAF could have a say in the matter. After all, there's surely other places that they could take RIAT, other than Fairford, as shown in 2000 and 2001.forthbridge wrote:![]()

I think (assuming it's more that gossip) it relates to Fairford, in which case the USAF does have a say as it's their base.
