BBMF Hurricane being given away?

Post by John »

Does anyone know anymore? I've heard that one of the Hurri's is being given to India as a swap for an unrebuilt Mk1?

Sounds bizarre to me 8)

Kind regards

You mean this story perchance? :)

As RAF/IAF Hurricanes provided "top cover" to the Mountain Artillery in Imphal, I feel a certain personal interest in showing some recognition of this time. Like I might not be here.

Exceedingly unlikely this would ever happen, just rumour control at work again, I guess (like the perennial "Red Arrows to disband" rumours, which always prove to be bunkum). LF363 is historically important in it's own right, as the last Hurricane built, difficult to see that sort of heritage going abroad on such an odd basis - mind you, I have been known to be wrong occasionally, as my ex-wife!!
