This was my best ride this year. It took a couple of hours of planning with the OS map and covered completely new ground for me. About half of the ride was along an old Ox Drove track leading from Somerset to Salisbury market. Along which, presumably, oxens were droved in days of yore The only oxen I saw today didn't look like they were planning any big trips
The autumn colours are just starting to show but it seems a bit late - probably due to the lack of rain over the past few weeks. It looks like Lord P has bought himself a good supply of firewood for the winter. I expect he's just waiting for the peasants to chop it into hearth sized chunks.
Hi Ian.Lovely shots as usual.I noticed a big difference in the autumn colours compared to those in this area which are much more intense just now.Yours will probably follow on.I also went on my bike yesterday in absolutely perfect weather and today, having seen the Queen Mary2 anchored near the Forth Rail bridge at South Queensferry,we went for a walk between Aberlady and Gullane Point in East Lothian in idyllic weather. On both days I took my camera to capture those magic moments, and seeing your photos I wondered how you post them for us to see.I have an account with Photobucket.Could that be used?Best Wishes EricT
Now at the age where I know I like girls but can't remember why!

Eric - If you right click on any photo posted in the forum and then click 'properties' on the drop down menu, you'll see the address where members have hosted their photos. I've got my own web domain and web space so all I do is upload what I want, with no restriction, and host it myself. Nigel H-J, for instance, uses photobucket successfully. To display a photo, rather than link to it, you first have to click on the 'Img' button in the post composition box, which creates brackets within which you write the web address of your picture.
Please ask if you need more info as I, for one, would love to see your photos. I can host them on my website for you if photobucket doesn't suit.
No.. REALLY seriously this time. I'm chuffed to bit's you have the fortitude and presence of mind to get out and do something like that and wish to god I could motivate myself in a similar fashion.
