strange sight in Google Maps

*-) looks light a series of pics were taken and the aeroplane had move between shots???

Hadn't thought of that. But when I look at the vehicles on the autobahn there is no similar effect. And more sinister is the vehicle shadows don't match the direction of the 747 shadows.

Google screwing with us?

If it is a multi image then one of the shadows could be covered by another pic *-)

Nice spot Francesco - I now think that Garry's explanation is a good one since I assumed the 747 shadow was to the west of the 747 but it could be to the north east which does match the vehicles on the autobahn.

Aren't they a bit close? Also the shadow appears to be missing from the lead aircraft.
