Very sad indeed. Sounds like an engine failure which with the 707's can be a very dicey thing.

As confirmed yesterday - some parts seem to have fallen off that plane.

The crash was also captured by a surveillance camera:

Thanks for the link Nick

It was an horric impact.

Report since say it was an engine that fell off but I have no idea if that is thr result of popular speculation or hard official knowledge.
