Nope Pete I never watched it but the media was full that storyline and it has been parodied many times.......like in the Simpsons :worried:

Unavoidable at the time :hide:

That is all I do know about it.....I don't really no who was who in it and what the story lines were....apart from that mentioned and others the media went on and on about

:)

I would say that Southfork is still fairly famous since it's still used for quite a few large shindigs every year. :)

Being that I'm FROM Dallas, the show was kinda "required watching" in many households in the DFW Area not only because it was about "Dallas", but because you always wanted to see if someone you knew showed up in a scene. Kinda like with "Walker, Texas Ranger" and "Prison Break". They were able to prove that a not insignificant portion of their viewership was due to locals watching the shows to see themselves, friends, and family who appeared in those shows, both of which filmed in Dallas.

Only goes to show- in Texas we don't always care how good or bad a program is - if we might know someone in it, we'll watch it. :)

Ok, I admit to watching it for a while. It was all everyone ever talked about around the water cooler and if you had not watched, people were incredulous. I finally got sick of the whole thing, especially the opening sequence with the panning shot of Texas Stadium, home of the hated dallas cowchips!

You mean the former Mrs. FlyTexas? Due to circumstances beyond her control she was not able to ride with me the last couple of rides. :( Hopefully she (and her "Hot Buns") will be back in the saddle for the next ride. ;)

Oh, and the virtual pint goes to Pete for having the courage to come forward with the correct answer to the "Where am I" trivia question. :guinn:
