This just in re the Vimys arrival at Brooklands Museum..
The Vimy – I know lots of you want to see the Vimy fly in, if it is going to, as that is still not definite. However, IF it does fly in here, the earliest it can be will be next week, but that is subject to many variables, not least the weather. This means that it may be a last minute decision, but we will have an absolute minimum of 12 hours notice, hopefully a lot more.
All I can say is that I will put out an email to everyone as soon as Julian tells me a time and date. It will also be put on the website as soon as the information is known, so please keep checking (www.brooklandsmuseum.com)
Well mate.. if it did, it didn't let anyone know. It certainly wasn't there today and nobody I spoke to had anything further to add.. other than raising the continued argument that it should be allowed to continue flying
One hurdle has been overcome. A Piper Cub made 2 test landings on the 'grass strip' at Mercedes Benz World yesterday (Thur) so all they're waiting for now is the weather.. which isn't looking good over the next few days
She is going into the Wellington hangar (as I understand it too) which begs the question, what's happening to the stuff already in there I'm sure they have a cunning plan!
I am sure though...after consulting my seaweed and having looked at the duck holding an umbrella and sheltering under a tree....it won't be this weekend
