Latest news in..
They're hoping to have the Vimy land at Brooklands early PM this coming Sunday (15th Nov) subject to the weather. Dunno about you lot but the forecasts I've seen for the next few days look absolutely pony so unless they're hoping for a window, I wouldn't hold my breath. Anyway.. that's the plan as of now.. Friday evening

The only reliable weather forcast that can be got is the one from yesterday
Nigel.
I used to be an optimist but with age I am now a grumpy old pessimist.

I was speaking to (shouting at) a customer who was being blown out of his car and into the pub a few moments ago and he reckoned Sunday was going to be OK
I presumed he meant here in the UK but you never know

The wind is suppose to have dropped and the rain clear to showers but it's relative.
I would have thought that needed very good weather.
The original date banded around a few months ago of October 31st wuld have been better or at least it was down here.
They were insitant that the delivery flight would be it's last but it seems there might be a Vimy to the air campaign

Dennis..
I've heard nothing further on the Vimy flight but if the wx at Dunsfold and Brooklands is anything like it is here in Berkshire.. I can't see a problem with it not being able to get in.. other than the ground being too soft. I have clear blue skies and zero wind here so fingers crossed for a successful last flight
