avast woes

Hi All.
Early hours of this morning i updated my avast,shut down computer afterwards,then went to bed,today at about 10 am,switched on my computer,and all hell let rip,avast saying my computer was infected,which surprised me,as all was well when i shut my computer down after the update was installed.
It took over an hour to get avast main page up,get on the internet,and check for any further updates,which it found a small one,once updated i did a virus scan using avast,and all was clear,my screenshot prog which was one of serveral progs,that it said was infected before,now works after being given a clean bill of health,computers dont you just love em.

I didn't get a problem and i am using Avast mate.

you sure it wasn't something else that loaded the virus ?

There's been some problem with Avast's most recent updates. See this thread over at the Outhouse.
