I have been away awhile working my socks off for a little trip me and the GF took together....hopefully have more time for my ruddy hobby now....
Enjoy a small sample of what this fantastic city has to offer.....
I have to admit....they are keeping "Alpha Delta" in pristine condition but i wonder how long it will be before the salt water seeps into her bones...?
If anyone wants to see the thousand or so other pictures i took.....No Chance.....

Nice shots Tony
Glad you enjoyed NYC
You missed a better museum just over the water on the Island by the way
Nice to see they have cleaned up the exhibits on the Evil I they looked a bit bedraggled for a while -- the A12 is one of only two left -- the other is in San Diego
I was over in NYC the other week for a meeting, I was on the 43rd Floor of the Viacom building with Nickelodeon in Times Square talking about kids cartoons & up coming movies, but all I was interested was the view from the window as I could see the Intrepid clearly from it! I was gutted that I had no time after to walk around! Oh well Next time! Great to see that Scimiter there too.
Nice to see you back, Tony. I thought it had been a bit quiet around here. I suppose that will come to an end now ...
They've got some nice exhibits there, haven't they? Can you look round the carrier as well or is it just a floating platform for the aircraft?
What else did you do while you were there? Who did you fly with - the world's favourite? I haven't been since I retired but I think I ought to take my beloved family over to experience it before they all leave me
Ian no chance with the worlds fav !!! Was stuck in the back of a United triple 7 no window seat
But we also did the fun route via Dulles and flew into La Guardia On a frisky CRJ200 which was interesting with a 20 knot crosswind at LGA and returned on an even friskier EMB170 !!!
As for the intrepid you can crawl over the hangar deck and crew quarters , i'll post some piccies later matey

Phew. That sounds like hard work, Tony - on the other hand, I like the idea of flying into La Guardia. I'll bet you got some great views of Manhattan from there.
Yes - more pics, please. But remember not to put them in the Gallery - it's full of aircraft carriers at the moment
