A Payware visitor...

Post by petermcleland »

I haven't flown this yet but it looks a very pretty model...The panel may be a bit basic for me but I'll see what I think after reading the manual and flying it for a bit.

Thanks for the posting, Mr. McCleland. :xdeer: I've not been following this aircraft, but you've piqued my interest. I'm looking forward to your flight 'reports', especially since "the panel may be a bit basic for me" since I'm not into highly involved procedures. I'm not much more than a "kick the tires and light the fires" simmer.

Thanks again,

Bob

Yes the wing is bent like that on the ground but I think it flexes up much higher as you take off. I think it is a very beautifully shaped wing for a Boeing. When you compare the wing of a B727 with that of a Trident the latter had a far superior wing shape. I'm sure this 787 is the first Boeing with those compound curves.

Jeez. Its around the £20 mark.

Someone mentioned Freeware. I would say it does'nt even look like a half decent freeware release. :-O

Keen to know what your thoughts are on it Peter. *-)

Well I got it out of McLeland Field with 25% fuel load and took it up to FL350. However, I never got the speed tape to work, but the autopilot did control the speed OK. I'll read the manual and find all the things I did wrong.

In the climb and passing back over base.

This shows the in flight wing curve.

Not too well lined up as I cross the hedge.

Image
Touchdown was smooth though...Don't know what the speed was...

Image
...but reverse thrust soon pulled it off.

The Tower parked me up on the military pan...Probably a good idea!
