The Jamaica incident looks a bit more serious than the Prestwick one - 40 "mainly minor" injuries, and the 737 sounds a tad bent!

I wouldn't be suprized if the reason it ran off the runway is that he takes brake wear out of the crew's wages

Yep, totally agree. I heard this about 2 or 3 am, and at that time it was being reported it had just gone off the runway but stopped without major incident.
but now!
It's broke the tube ..... weather is said to have been the cause,
the weather could not be reached for comment.
