Bacon Grease

Post by Filonian »

At this time of year it's worth remembering..............

There is nothing better to fry eggs, pop corn, seasoned beans, or seasoned cornbread. But I didn't know this can happen!!!!

IF YOU HAVE EVER INGESTED BACON GREASE IN ANY FORM. PLEASE READ THIS!!!!

Bacon Grease warning
The question is: Do you use bacon grease?
We were raised on bacon grease (lard) as kids and even into adulthood. I will never use it again. I hope you will throw yours away whenever you fry bacon from now on. It seems as though nothing is safe to eat any more.

COOKING WITH BACON GREASE

I just threw out my last 2 tbs of bacon grease!!
This is what happens when you keep cooking with bacon grease

This is a warning, send this to everyone you care about.

Why, - Nigel² - do I detect a pinch of snuff between your cheek and gum in that hillbilly draawwww

yeehaw?

just a litttle something about cooking bacon in a microwave on one of them racks?
I'll be changing a builtin micro for a client, ...for the third time, because the bacon grease removes the paint on the inside of door
and then the exposed metal starts to rust up,

thats why I panfry mine ;)

and I ain'tshit'n you :worried:

HeeHaw! You mean that din't sound se-fist-i-cated and all? I'll git me pick-up with dat gun rack on da back and vamoose! ;)

Thanks for the info on bacon in the microwave, Problem is I love the way the microwave cooks bacon. I always cover the bacon with a paper towel which appears to absorb a lot of grease that would otherwise splatter. D'ya think that is ok? If not the thing is over 20 years old so if it packs up tomorrow I have got my moneys worth out of it.
