Perhaps James May will build one.1/72 Valiant to be released in 2010
I seem to remember V bomber kits made by Frog which I think were 1/96th scale.Frog certainly made some 1/96th scale airliner kits.I remember building the DC-7C 'Seven Seas' as well as the Britannia.EricT.

Hi Eric
Yes FROG made the Victor, Vulcan and Valiant in 1/96 scale
Others in that scale...made at a time when they made most kits to fit the boxes......Lancaster, Vimy, Viscount, Britannia, Comet, Caravelle and DC 7C
Licoln International also made 1/96 of the Victor and Vulcan but the were poor models of the prototypes.
Matchbox made the Victor in 1/72, later boxed by Revel and of course Airfix make the Vulcan so a nice set comong one there me thinks

Re: Aifix Valiant
Hi Garry.I also wanted to build the Viscount but my pocket money wouldn't stretch to that at the time.I did buy several kits many years later, probably for nostalgic reasons, and probably because I could the afford to do so.However I never got round to building them, and I sold them off(along with many other goodies) when we decided to move to an apartment up here. One kit which I do remember buying in the late 60's was the Viscount in 1/96th scale in Lufthansa colours ,made by Faller of W Germany. This was another one which I never built and was sold along with the others.I remember saying to the guy who bought them all that the Viscount kit was probably by then(2007) a collectors item.ATB EricT

Re: Aifix Valiant
The Faller Viscount was actually 1/100 scale,
The best injection moulded Viscount kit is still around under the Glencoe brand. It's a 700 and was originally made by Hawk.
A FROG KLM Viscount will set you back several hundred pounds and even rarer is the NZNAC decaled version.

Garry you are quite correct.I had forgotten that.I seem to recall that they also made a Convair 440 in the same series which I also wanted but never got round to buying for some reason.Cheers EricTThe Faller Viscount was actually 1/100 scale,

Re: Aifix Valiant
I had the CV440 once. like the Viscount it had soft plastic engine fronts and pins so it could be motorised.
They also did a Noratlas, but I never saw that
