VC10 Vid

Post by Nigel H-J »

Browsing through YouTube came across this one that was posted a week ago, sure gives DM a bit of advertising.

What a lovely film. The background track sounds like it was taken from a record which described the Nairobi-London flight (I think Tonks has one).

Good find Nige

Indeed :agree:

Great find Nigel

Nicely done film of a great subject. Some of the real ones look almost as good as DM's :)

Spiffing stuff, chaps. Jolly good show.

Looks like he grabbed a few of the photos off Jelle's site. Especially the interior ones which are copyright of Geoff Hall - who was a colleague of mine on VC10s. I don't suppose anyone will mind them reaching a wider audience though.

Ian :)

Indeed a nice video, if you want to hear more from this record download the MP3s here: http://www.vc10.net/Memories/testing_ea ... 0by%20VC10

I have one issue with this guy though, he downloaded a whole bunch of photos from my site, not just the ones from Geoff Hall but almost every photo between 2:40 and 4:58. There is a clear notice on my site about copyright and he did obviously choose to ignore that. I've sent him a message to see whether he has permission to use those photos. I do appreciate his efforts and the advertisement angle but I'm always trying to be careful about copyright issues and that means I should not allow this. 8)

I had a brief e-mail conversation with the originator of the video. He did not have permission for the use of those photos and apparently didn't want to build the video without them as he has removed the video. His choice.

Is it just me that finds it annoying when someone keeps signing his e-mails with 'The JetRanger'? We're communicating like adults..... *-)

Agree completely Jelle. The first thing one would expect would be for the username to be dropped. It takes all sorts! 8)
