Moved this to E&S Willie and welcome to the forums :)

I really don't know how you stand if you lose your credit card. When you book the flight online, is it not paid for at the same time??

Yep, its already paid for. I take it you mean how do you retreive your ticket from the booking kiosk with a different card? I'd suggest giving BA a call. I'm sure they can print your ticket from the desk in such circumstances. :)

Welcome to CBFS, Willie. :) I wonder if BA has electronic ticketing? If that is the case I think you should be ok if you do the Online Check-in on BA's website. They have a demo video of the online check-in process and at no point do they show you being prompted to enter a credit card number. From the website you can also print your boarding pass. The only problem I can see will be getting a boarding pass for your return flight...you are returning, correct? I'm not sure if you can print a boarding pass at the same time for both flights. :worried: For the return flight I'd also try to do the online check-in process. It's been my experience (here in the US) that if I check-in at the airport I've always had to have the original credit card. Hope this helps. :)

Hi Willie. You only need it if you're using self-service check-in at the airport. But don't worry - BA aren't Ryanair, customer service is still included in the ticket price  As Brian says, you can check-in online (from 24 hours prior to the flight) and print out your boarding card at home and go straight to the bag drop desk.

If you can't do that (or don't want to) you can still use the desk to do an old-fashioned full-fat check-in. All you'll need is your reservation number and some photo ID - usually your passport.

Same on the way back, you can use old-style check-in if you want. If the flight's paid for you don't need your original card any more. It's just used as an alternative ID check.

Ian :)
