Dan-air London B707

Post by Court Line Flyer »

I've been meaning to paint this for years and having found time this week am quite pleased with the result. This is what snow days are for!! I wish Dan-air had kept their B707's long enough to appear in this livery. Done from scratch using the Captainsim paint kit and shown here on its first flight today into a snowy Zurich. Next in the paint shop is an Aer Lingus B707 in original livery...let's pray for more snow!!

Very nice, and you've got the mist about right... could do to be a little thicker maybe! Last time I departed Zurich (in November) it had just got dark and the mist was incredible. I have some photos of it but sadly not of the view down the runway (visible from my pax window as we turned to line up) which was like a series of glowing beacons illuminating the road to nowhere. Bizarrely, above about 500ft AGL, it all dispersed and you could see all the lights in the towns and cities clearly (through a slight haze).

Uuh, that paint, that airport brings up some memories.
When I was a child I used to stand nr rwy 28 watching Dan-Air's 1-11 depart.
Dan-Air soon became my favourite ZRH visitor. :)
