end of an era, well for me anyway!

Post by ukmil »

tomorrow sees the end of an Era for me. Sunday is the day, I leave Leuchars [temporaraly] and move to Coningsby. This spells the END of a 15 Year TORNADO career for me. I am sad to see the end of the old girl, and have spent many good times on the beast, but times are changing, and I will be starting my Typhoon Era on Monday Morning. So, if anyone is in the CBY area, I may see you around, at least until we move back north with the might 6 Sqn

Indeed.. that's a long time ;)

Ah well.. look at the benefits. Probably a lot less bad weather at Coningsby.. the natives speak English and more importantly.. you get to see more of the BBMF (notwithstanding future defense cuts) ;)

ATB in your new posting Dave

Hope your post transition goes smoothly. At least there's some distance involved. I know a guy who moved from Mildenhall to Lakenheath when he was in the USAF where his stuff kept getting re-delivered to Mildenhall. :)

Some of you may have seen on the web that it may be a bit of an end of an era for us VC10 chaps too.
