Britten Norman Sounds

Post by GaryJ »

Hello Guys,
I have just put together two great sound sets for Islanders and Trislanders. Most of the throttle up sounds i created from the real aircraft, but the pack also includes sounds from microsoft and other unknown authors. How do i get round the all the copyright gubbins so i can at least share them with you Guys? :dunno:

I wouldn't worry too much about the microsoft stuff as if its included in FS anyway you should have a license to use it, however don't know if you'd have a l;icense to distribute it if you see what I mean. As for the other authors, you'd need to email or ask on their relivant support forums and get their permisson, unless it explicitly says they are happy for other folk to use and distribute it. Also you'd need to give them credit in your readme.

That's the problem, i've used sounds from all sorts of sound sets collected over the years, as others do. I wouldn't even know where to start looking for original authors

Simple mate

If you're not sure who's stuff you've used or can't get hold of the authour for permission then you can't upload them :(
