The Good Old Days

Post by Garry Russell »

A nice selection taken a few years ago when, although well into the jet dominated era, there was still some variety in shapes and styles :)

http://www.fesa.be/1985.html

Of special note is G-BFCE which was one of I think two of the TriStar 500's sold to the RAF and then leased back due to capicity shotages *-)

The patch over the RAF fin flash is clearly seen. It was in fact used here by British Airtours.

Didn't know Dave Lee Travis had his own 748 :-O No chance of starters off that Belslow either :(

Cheers mate.. some nice ones in there. Might have flown on the Manx Viscount. Wasn't a spotter at the time so I couldn't be sure *-)

Cheers Garry. Some treasured memories in that lot.

The Hispania pig I had almost forgotten about.

I've been keeping a eye on the Radar Vituel

There was an ATP yesterday :-O and the occasional...very occasional MD-11 or F-100

Mostly it's Boeing, Airbus, Boeing, Airbus, Boeing, Airbus...... :(

I loved the Hispania scheme...very bright but tasteful

They had that on the Carvelles too which they inherited from Trans Europa and took a while to repaint.
