Re: Anyone been scilly?
I've flown a Comet in and out of Alderney
Take of with approach flaps and full power on the brake and a lot of nose up trim
Here's a question
Anyone know IRL what the largest ever aircraft to land in Alderney was???.........carried pax too
Used just over half the all grass runway

Just had a trawl back. Dave landed the 380 at Guernsey not Alderney.

Just clocked your post Garry.
I would'nt even like to hazard a guess at that.
Very interested to know what the answer is though.

Alright, Gentlemen, so please go tell the people at IOS Skybus the time of Twotters is over...
Preparing for T/O at Plymouth Airport

Yes! I found it...

Just another quick look... (to make sure it's not Ronaldsway)

And we're trying RWY 33, everything else would not be fair...

Here we go, 10 kts below VAT

Bang! (spoilers out two seconds before touchdown)

Next time I'll try to catch the taxiway at first go... promised...

Thank you for flying BAF, now you know why we've equipped this aircraft with Recaro seats...

(pls excuse some of the shots are taken in repeat modus)
All the best,
Nick
