I wonder if anyone has had experience of this.
I have installed Windows 7 and have 3 x 1TB internal HDDs installed with no room for any more. Number one is for the OS, two is exclusively for FSX, and three is for all the other fsims, e.g.: FS9, Xplane, etc.
I needed a backup disk and for that I decided on an external ITB drive which had an eSATA port as well as a USB port. Clearly the latter was not an option with regard to download times.
However, when connecting the eSATA port, W7 could not see it, neither in Computer nor in the BIOS. Connecting the USB port, W7 saw the drive in both Computer and the BIOS.
Is this a W7 bug?

Re: External Harddrives
If it's not seeing it in the BIOS it's nothing to do with the operating system. Probably worth checking all the settings in the BIOS as you may need to activate something.

Skippy,
Thanks for your comment. I'll have a rummage around.
