Hi folks,
my trusty laptop has gone south. First the ac charger failed, but the machine worked fine on battery. Obtained new oem replacement charger and the laptop won't recognise it or charge. No only but also the laptop won't run on ac power with battery removed. Ac light comes on at the front when ac connected so don't think it's the new charger; any ideas?
oh it's an HP ZD8000, not the best reputation but hasn't let me down until now. Typical it dies just before next stint in the sandpit!!

I had a similar problem with my Refurb HP laptop, the problem was something to do with the power controler parts inside the laptop. But i got a refund and went Sony... Im not saying it is this but it may well be internal issues, especially if it wont run without the Battery on AC power!
