Turbo-prop is a jet......prop jet

What we call a jet is a pure jet but they are both types of jet :)

Some T/P in the fifties and sixties were labelled jet power on the livery.

The opposite of a non aviation mate of mine that reffered to Britannias Vanguards and Viscount or anything with propellers as piston engined :lol:

I wouldn't say "jet", rather gas turbine :)


Was amused the other day when Granada news was reporting an old 748 being sunk in a pond for divers to play with. They reported the "1960's Portuguese airliner" :lol: :lol: :lol:
