Hi Guys,

Derek,

Thanks for that. As I said before I think it boils down to a matter of taste. You're right, 3 models by one developer, 1 by another.

That FFDS site is like a John le Carre novel to me, I'm not quite sure what is going on but the words are fascinating!

Dave,

The panel lines are rather obvious on the Tempest although I think this is due more to an over enthusiastic attempt to show every rivet on the aircraft, most of which appear to have had the paint removed from the heads. Fortunately, there are some decent repaints out there. The rest of the package is very good particularly the Hawker Fury which makes that blasted white spot even more aggravating.

Rick,

Looking forward to the Jetstream. Glad to see you have cracked the disc bloom issue.

Regards,

Pete

Hi Del

Wasn't a problem

just sent beta to about 10 people outside the closed test and zero screenshots from them and only 1 beta report (Chris Hunt) ;)

Getting fed up of releasing betas and nothing coming back (be ok if it was perfect but it's not)

Regards
Rick

More to come Rick :) Hopefully by the end of the weekend but intend to focus on specific areas one at a time with a report on what is expected and what actually happens. I have to confess to test things properly takes quite a bit of concentration and having developed in Access and VB I know how easy it is to miss something. I need a test plan! (that's only funny if you've heard what I've been saying recently to my son (first year of 6th form) about his lack of homework).

Regads,
Chris

I'm still here :) and at least we got to see another shot of the Jetstream. The effect here is certainly a lot more subdued than in the Hawker Heroes.

Still not sure about the concept of "prop bloom". Can't recall ever having seen it in real life with the aircraft on the ground or from inside. Would it only be seen air to air, in which case I've never had the opportunity?

To take things slightly :OT: myself although on a related topic, what is the general view on the representation of a spinning prop in FS? When seen in real life, to my eyes at least, it is an almost transparent blurred disc with virtually no features in it, apart from the blur of decals etc. Seen on film or video the blades can be seen rotating due to the camera shutter speed not being in sync with the speed of rotation. So, Real Life or Film.

Regards,

Pete

The prop bloom is visible on aircraft flying overhead....just the sun refelcting off the disc........ :)

More noticible of course on none black blades
