Hi Dave. Thanks for that info.I well remember the museum at East Mids as I occasionally visited it(on both South and North sides) prior to moving up here.In fact it's quite possible that I will have some 'snaps' taken there. As I may have mentioned earlier, the original slides, not all of which will be scanned, will be going to Steve Gensler who owns the 'Airtrans' aviation hobby shop at East Mids.I don't think the poor sod realises how many there will be!
Thanks for the replies from everyone. It is sometimes difficult to know what to post, but I will try to vary it as much as possible.Of course, aircraft form only a part of the subjects being scanned so it is a very time consuming job.EricT :)

Hi Peter. The only registration showing on the Vanguard/Merchantman is G-APES so I assume from DaveB's comments that it was this one.ATB EricT :)

Great shots, thank you.

These bring back a few memories, as I also flew on Dan-Air One-Eleven G-BDAE. In my case from Man to Majorca. I also visited the cockpit on the outbound flight.

Cheers

Kevin

Great shots again, I've been enjoying these a lot

BTW if you do find any with VC10s in them....
Due to shortages and cutbacks the light at the end of the tunnel has been switched off.

There probably are some VC10 shots although,if I remember correctly, they may be detail rather than complete aircraft shots.Detail photos are an area that I have not yet posted but rest assured I will bore you all to death when I do!EricT :)

Peter/Eric..

Yes.. Swiftsure was G-APES. The chances of you NOT having flown it Peter are slimmer than a slim thing on a very slim day  PES was the only Vanguard painted up in Hunting Cargos final (then current) livery.. all white fuse with blue fin and gold Hunting horn. I wish to goodness PEP had been painted that way too as it'd have made it a great deal easier to repaint
