Zeppelin flight

Post by JohnD »

My wife and I just returned from the USA and while in Los Angeles we managed to get a flight on the Zeppelin NT Airship at Long Beach.
It was a 1 hour flight from Long Beach via the harbour with great views of the Queen Mary.

Excellent views can be had from the rear panoramic window.

After getting off we all had to stand at the front for safety reasons while it took of with the next load of 14 passengers.

It was a great experience and one that I never thought would happen.

Thanks for your comments. We had a good clear day for the flight. We should have flown the previous day but it was too windy. The pilot was indeed Kathryn Board the one and only woman zeppellin pilot and British too. There are only nine qualified Zeppelin pilots worldwide.

Thanks for looking and your comments. Thanks for moving the post Dave.

If it was Leif, with forearms like that, I wouldn't argue with her.

Lovely shots John. Thanks for posting.
