ATC-SIM

Post by nigelb »

for an occasional change of pace, you can see how the other side lives. http://atc-sim.com/

I don't think you have to login to play (I have not tried it yet) but you do if you want to record your scores. By default there are several airpotes including EGLL, KORD, RJBE, KPHX. SBGL, KSTL, YSSY. A donation of US $20 when signing up brings many additional airports. There is not really a good tutorial - it is a YouTube video linked from the main page with no sound (at least I didn't get any). How realistic is it - probably not very, but it is free (unless you donate) and could be fun for an occasional diversion from honey do's or other mundane tasks.

Note: I just noticed some instructions on the right of the main page - apparently if you register the features marked with ** become available. These enable clicking on the tags to enter them into the command box.

Thanks for that Nigel, it's not bad at all, although I still prefer Simon Bergner's dowloadable ATC sim. http://www.acc.umu.se/~simsoft/news.php

And thank you for that link! I briefly looked at the pdf manual and it looks like a good ATC sim.
